Sparsix Corporation announces appointments to its Board of Advisors
Dr. Evgeny Tyrtyshnikov joins the Sparsix team
Sparsix Corporation announced today that Dr. Evgeny Tyrtyshnikov has agreed to join its Board of Advisors.
Dr. Tyrtyshnikov is a world-renowned expert in numerical analysis and linear algebra, mathematical fields that provide the framework for computational solutions of sparse linear systems. As a member of the Board of Advisors, Dr. Tyrtyshnikov will advise the company on advanced linear algebra algorithms and solvers.
Oleg Diyankov, Sparsix’s vice president for research and development, remarked that “Sparsix is very fortunate to have Evgeny join our team. His deep experience in computational linear algebra will have a strong impact on the development of contemporary mathematical algorithms for our customer solutions.”
Dr. Tyrtyshnikov currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Numerical Analysis at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. He teaches at Moscow State University and at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, is the author of A Brief Introduction to Numerical Analysis (Birkhäuser, 1996), and the author or co-author of several dozen papers on various mathematical topics including linear algebra, structured matrices and parallel computations. Dr. Tyrtyshnikov received his Ph.D. in Numerical Mathematics from Moscow State University.
